MyWellnessBuddy (MWB) is an invitation-only, complimentary application designed to serve as a secure communication interface between Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) enabled health devices and the user's cloud-based personal health record, known as the MWB Portal. The portal, accessible via www.mywellnessbuddy.com, provides authorized users and healthcare providers with access to consolidated health data.

The platform currently supports FDA-approved devices issued by healthcare providers for remote monitoring of physiological parameters. Supported measurements include blood glucose, blood pressure, SpO2, weight, BMI, and temperature. Support for personal spirometry devices is expected to be introduced in upcoming updates.

In its basic operational mode, MWB establishes a connection with a powered-on BLE-enabled device registered to the user’s MWB Portal account. It then retrieves measurement data and transmits this information to the portal using the mobile device’s internet connection. This process does not require user credentials, as data uploads are performed anonymously until validated within the portal through the device’s unique serial number.

Healthcare providers can access detailed data by viewing, downloading, and analyzing parameters via the fully-featured browser interface of the MWB Portal.

The current release, Version v1.2.23, supports only this simplified operational mode. Future updates aim to incorporate a comprehensive operational mode requiring user authentication through credentials issued by healthcare providers. This enhanced mode will enable users to access their complete health records and utilize advanced self-management tools.
